I found this little gem while watching a video on IronGeek, and I gotta say, it has gotten far too little coverage. Basically it will allow you to create a virtual CD drive and mount an ISO or other CD image as though it were in your physical optical drive. I now present to you the Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel for Windows XP. No more using Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools! Why is it that everything Microsoft does right is ignored or lost in old documentation that no one reads? Sometimes they really do make some good stuff.

This is a quick tip I assumed everyone knew already, but yet I see a large number of people not using it.
Go to your Control Panel, Display, Appearance, Effects, check the box that says "Use the following method to smoth edges of screen fonts" and select ClearType. At first this may seem a little weird, but it is much easier on the eyes and looks much better. Additionally, you can tweak various display options of ClearType with the Microsoft ClearType Tuner PowerToy.

If you're like me, you hate opening Command Prompt from Run, then change directories manually to wherever you're trying to access. Open Command Here is a plugin for Explorer to let you open a Command Prompt window to the folder you have selected. I use this more than anything else on my computer, and I definitely recommend it.
